A base charter rate is quoted up front, with variable running costs — fuel, dockage, food, beverages, and provisioning — covered separately via an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). Full itemised accounting is provided at the end of your trip.
All-Inclusive Style
Many catamarans offer all-inclusive charter packages that bundle standard meals, beverages, and fuel into a single rate. Details vary by yacht and must be confirmed at booking — but if simplicity matters to you, this is often the preferred structure.
What is an APA?
An Advance Provisioning Allowance is a pre-paid fund — typically 25–35% of your charter fee — that covers running expenses including fuel, provisioning, marina fees, and other on-trip costs. Your crew tracks every expense, and any unused portion of your APA is refunded to you at the end of the charter.
